When I picked up my new A24 a week ago the dealer carefully explained how to reset the surf gate when it fails to deploy. Sure enough, on our first, and only, outting it failed to deploy and the reset procedure was needed. This is annoying and reminds me of rebooting from the blue screen of death on '90's Windows. How common is this problem? |

I haven't had to reset yet in 150 hours but did blow the fuses once. We upped the size no problem since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ive had two problems with my 2016 A22. The first one was an actuator problem where they replaced the whole thing. The second was a blown fuse. Apparently there are fuses for the surf gates. My dealer took out the fuses and installed circuit breaker in the engine compartment on the transom. You can reset them if they trip I guess. They said that as the actuators get older they pull more amperage. The resets never worked for me. |

I spoke with the factory about this. Apparently due to production variances on the actuators they can have a high initial surge when they begin to move. Some of the fuses couldn't handle this amperage spike. This is why they instructed dealers to install breakers to replace the fuses as they can. |
