In the first 2 months I have had a Starboard drain pump fail and a Port fill pump fail. I have 2017 A20. Anyone else having issues with pump failures?

I've had a 2011 A22 and currently have a 2014 A24 and I've never had a ballast issue at all.

I am not running them dry. Maybe just bad luck I guess? At least its under a 5 year warranty! Overall love the boat though.
Thanks guys.

Are the pumps actually failing or just needing to be cleaned out. Although I prefer the reversible, pumps the Shurflo's seem pretty bomb proof. 130 hours and no problems yet. BTW, I don't think running them dry really hurts them

I have had a number of boats in the past and I have had a pump issue on only a Supra. If you keep blowing pumps after they replace these then I would worry.

They are failing. DEAD. No hum or blockage. Really hope this is the last one. It wasnt fun pulling the boat home with 1 side 100% filled with ballast plus a fatsac.

I run sumo 475s in my rear compartments and keep a sumo pump on the boat for that exact reason, if a drain pump ever fails at least I can drain the sac. Much easier to tow home with just a hard tank full than with a full sac on top also.

Hopefully your good to go from here on out. I just finished plumbing in my bow ballast and am probably going to keep my Tsunami pump just in case.
